Every nominee has achieved the shortlist in their category by receiving votes from the public of the city of Bath. In 2015 we received more than 12,000 nominations. It is really heart warming to see the level of support that Bath’s foodie businesses received, and reflects the fascination with food and drink culture that exists within the city. The restaurants, cafes, delis and local producers with the most votes then go through to the independent judging stage of the awards
Led by head judge Angela Mount, our panel of judges includes Xanthe Clay (food and wine columnist, The Telegraph), Martin Blunos (chef and television presenter), Richard Bertinet (baker and food champion) and Josh Eggleton (Michelin starred chef and creator of Eat Drink Bristol Fashion).
They take part in a blind judging of the wares of local producers as well as visiting each shortlisted business as mystery diners with the winners announced at a Gala Awards evening, which brings together the stars of Bath’s food and drink scene to celebrate a year of fine food and drink.
